On August 1, the Thomas Jefferson Institute held a two-hour Leadership Roundtable on Immigration Reform, led by accomplished leaders who have given careful thought to the immigration issue and favor focusing on encouraging the immigration of workers who would contribute to economic growth in America. Panelists included Rob Jesmer, who overseas immigration reform strategy and policy for FWD.US; Greg Walcher, an executive with the Red Card Solution, that favors border control and a non-immigrant work program; and Al Zapanta, an American businessman currently serving as President and CEO of the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce.
